Unfortunately it is the time of the year when goose crap is prevalent. Maple Moor and Saxon Woods are usually the worst offenders so I would avoid them at all costs. I played Mohansic last week and it was generally pretty goose crap free (plus as a golf course, it is way better than Maple, Saxon, and Sprain). If you can't get up to Yorktown, I'd begrudgingly recommend giving Dunwoodie a try. Not a good course at all (read my review), but I've never found a large goose presence there.
