Who Didn’t Vote for Jack?!?!
Last week, the House of Representatives voted to award 18-time Major winner Jack Nicklaus with the Congressional Gold Medal, one of our country’s highest civilian honors. Congress cited Nicklaus’ golfing achievements, but also his notable charitable endeavors. The legislation now heads to the Senate for final approval.
But the vote was not unanimous: 373 Congressmen voted in favor of The Golden Bear, while four voted against. So who were those blasphemous four that did not want to see Jack take home this prestigious award?
The fine folks at Deadspin took it upon themselves to find out and get some answers from those congressmen, all of whom clearly hate golf.
